Hi folks! The KW4 & CND IPAC Hub have created some videos that might be helpful to you and your support team for outbreak preparation. Videos include information about reporting to ROWPHE through their online reporting form, completing the Respiratory Activity Line List in its entirety to ensure adequate follow up with the public health outbreak team, and helpful tips for completing a lab requisition to ensure that both you and our local public health unit receive resident and staff results within a timely manner.

As of October 1, 2024:

Region of Waterloo Public Health will no longer be providing medical courier services to all congregate settings for swab/specimen pick up and transportation to the lab. Homes are now responsible for coordinating their own swab transport either by:

  1. Using their own existing laboratory agreements to transport swabs and specimens to the lab
  2. Self-drop off their swabs to the public health unit between 0900-1200 and 1300-1600 Monday to Friday (excluding statutory holidays)
