Hand Hygiene Week 2026
This year’s World Hand Hygiene Day will be celebrated on May 5, 2026.
Thank you to all the managers, leads, staff, residents, and visitors for adhering to hand hygiene practices! It is the single most effective method at reducing the spread of germs and infections within any healthcare and congregate living setting.
Because we understand how busy everyone is and to accommodate all of the facilities we support across Waterloo Region, the hub is opening up May 4 through 8 to celebrate Hand Hygiene Day with your teams! Please see the poster below for our options for our hub-hosted activities and how to sign up!
Interested in doing some activities with your team, but cannot accommodate a hub visit? No worries! The hub has shared some ideas for activities that you can host with your teams. Check out our Hand Hygiene Day webpage for details.
